mid-career from other countries. Higher education is subsidized, which means
that tuition fees can be kept
relatively low, especially compared with countries like the United Kingdom and
the United States.</p>

education. It has about 35.000 students attending these
institutes throughout the Holland. Fontys is a
international study abroad that stands for craftsmanship, the
ultimate combination of theory and practical
experience.The engineering and technology institutes
are mainly located in Eindhoven and have about 5.000
students studying in different disciplines of
engineering.The engineering institutes were founded
in 1938 by captains of industry in the south-eastern
region of the country.This region is well known for its
high tech companies and knowledge of electronics
(Philips) and mechatronics (ASML). </p>

This programme aims to:<br />

information systems, the business environment and research techniques.
<p><strong>Teaching methods and assessment</strong><br />
At the start of each module students will receive a booklet giving full
details
of the aims, learning outcomes, teaching programme, assessment and reading.
Each
student will be allocated a personal academic tutor from among the teaching
staff. Students will also be allocated a dissertation supervisor selected
from
among the programme teaching staff. The choice will be based on the
student's
selection of a dissertation topic and the area of specialism of the
supervisor.
Module tutors will be responsible for tutorial guidance in advance of course
work and examinations and for feedback after each assessment. Students will
be
taught by a combination of methods including lectures, seminars and
tutorials.
Assessments will be done via coursework, exams and presentations.</p>

The programme satisfies the requirements of the draft QAA's benchmark
statements<br />
for masters in Computing. Overall quality monitoring of the programme is<br

undertaken via Roehampton's Academic Quality and Standards Committee (AQSC)
in<br />
collaboration with Fontys University of Professional Education and study in
holland.</p>

programme,leading to a Bachelor of
Engineering in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. A student who passes the
first year successfully gets the
Certificate Propedeutic Year.Electrical / Electronic Engineering is a
university course intended for the
(industrial) professional field. Our students are trained to become an
allround engineer in a specific field.
Students specialise in Telecommunications, Mechatronics or Management &
Engineering.</p>
